I just received my Meissner Radiator Cover. After deciphering the Genglish instructions, and wondering why the hell nobody included a photo or two, I came to appreciate how ingenious the mounting system is.

The little ******* is pricey, but I can see why. Question is...

That little extra space in the top hooked section, that little space that allows the cover to rattle if you try REAL hard, is it going to chew on the radiator under wind buffeting and engine vibes?

Should I remove the cover and put some high-temp silicone under the lip and then reassemble the thing?

I have the Cox radiator guard; it came with some thin foam (neoprene, I believe)self-adhesive spacers for just that. I don't really think you have anything to worry about, but for peace of mind, maybe a dab of Permatex Ultra Copper is in order..

Hi Jeff,

Haven't had any kind of rattling issues with mine and it's been almost a year. Your right the mounting method is simple and ingeneous. Pricey but a real nice piece of kit.
