Does anyone know if the stock rear shock from an '04 interchanges with the '06? I have an '06 I'd like to lower and have opportunity to buy an '04 shock with spacers along with the dogbone to lower my bike, but I'm wondering if there was a difference in shocks from these years? Hoping some wealth of information out there might have the answer for me or may be able to direct me to a parts fiche for these years? I tried a search unsuccessfully. Appreciate your help!

You could do it, but I wouldn't recommend it. The swingarm is different on the bikes, so the rate is evidently different on the shocks. If it was a fully adjustable aftermarket shock, you might be able to make it work.

If you feel like experimenting, and perhaps "taking one for the team", go for it. Personally, I'd get the longer bones and/or an aftermarket shock specifically for the '06.

Let us know what you end up doing!
