Looking for information as to whether either of the following New Mexico routes are paved for their entire distance:

Route 1. NM State road (SR) 337 from I-40 (east of Albuquerque near Tijeras) running south through Cedro, Escabosa, connecting to SR 55 south to Mountainaire on US 60. About 55 miles.

Route 2. NM SR 165 running east of Bernalillo (off I-25 north of Albuquerque) going east and south connecting to SR 536 to Sandia Peak and then back south to SR 14 near San Antonito on SR 14. About 40 miles.

Thanks.

Rte. 1 -- Yep, it's kind'a an extension of the Turquoise Trail (NM 14 thru Madrid -- "Wild Hogs"). Ridden it many times.

Rte. 2 -- I don't think so. But, I've never ridden through there (or, attempted it). I have a feeling though that it turns to gravel/dirt in the Cibola Nat. For./Sandia Mountain Wilderness. It gets up close to 10,000ft in that area.

There are ABQ forum members who probably know for sure.

Feel free to ask about any others..... :)

NM has about the worst highway marker signs I've ever seen. Better take a good map along, and even then, you'd just as well plan on getting lost. Nevertheless, I love touring in NM. WBill
