I'm working on installing a Fuzeblock and am wondering if I'm expecting too much from my Fuzeblock. What are you powering thru your FZ-1 unit and what do you have connected directly to your battery?

Your input is appreciated.

I have my GPS, Garage door opener, aux driving lights and a powelet socket which I intend to use for heated gear running through my Fuzeblock and all are on switched ciruits (through the relay). The only thing I have connected directly to the battery is a second powelet that I use for plugging in the battery tender or anything that I don't want to have the bike switched on to run.

The GPS and garage door opener share a 5 amp fuse, the driving lights are on a single 10 amp and the powelet socket I have split between two 7.5 amp fuses. This puts me at the 30amp max that the unit is rated for.

Oh yeah just remembered that I also have a Kuryakyn Voltage meter connected to it but I can't remember which fuse circuit I have it connected to. The draw on it is negligible.

I'm pretty light on the electrical farkles. My fuzeblock list:

Starcom

iPod

Phone charger

Satelite radio (currently unused)

I've got a powerlet socket hooked directly to the battery. It doubles as a battery tender socket, but can/will be used for heated clothing if I ever decide that is needed.

If I recall correctly, the fuzeblock is limited to 30 amps (360 watts) total. Can't remember the individual fuse limit, maybe 10? At any rate, that should give you an idea of what you can put on it.

GPS (Zumo) (Constant)

AutoCom

Heated Grips

Heated Jacket - Driver

Heated Jacket - Passenger

As the FZ-1 will let you configure the fuse to be either constant power or thru the relay, the GPS is configured to be constant. All the other items are thru the relay in the FZ-1.

My Datel Voltmeter is hooked up directly to the battery, but I have a On/Off switch installed in line.
