Dale,

I know there is a lot of going back and forth about WFO4 between FJR Owners and FJR Forum and Owner's Association.

So I am going to ask, are all the guys the same that will be at the WFO4? or will there be different get togethers?

I am considering donating GPS systems again for your cause and I am some what confused about the whole thing.

Can you help clearify please and who is the right person to contact for these door price gifts?

Thanks

James

HMarc and myself were Co-Rallymasters for WFO-3 last year, and we will again be your hosts for next year. This year, my involvement is simply that of hosting their web site.

But for all matters regarding WFO-4, you need to speak to the Rallymaster for this year's event, which is Stephen Douge (goes by "Sharp" on the various forums).

Email him at: sharp @ blader.com

No big deal, I was thinking of helping out in my own way, but if you are not doing it, then look me up next year.

04fjr4me, I don't get your logic man? We are all the same folks here. You generous donation of a GPS would be very welcome by Dan and the rest of the organizing committee, I am sure. Seems sort of odd, that if Warchild doesn't actually attend the event, you hold back on you otherwise generous support. what's that all about? I guess you have your reasons but seems odd to make this decision public without some explanation.

Er.... I *am* attending WFO-4..... though I can't be there until Saturday.

But you weren't going to be back in the state until Saturday morning. Surely you can't make the 350+ mile trip in a _day_??!? ;)

Gosh, that is an awfully long ride for a single day, isn't it?

And just imagine the horror: I have to depart for home immediately following the banquet. That's 700 miles in one day; that'll probably be some kind of record, I'm thinking....

I like to support the people who support this forum, and there are lots of people that does nothing but take, Dale seems to give as much as he takes and it is Dale that made the old and new forum fun. It is his personal input that has helped many of us and I appreciate this very much.

No big deal, but I can give GPS's to just about anyone and they will be happy to take it, Dale took the time before to help out fellow FJR owners with their bikes and so on, just like to give credit to those who does more.

I hope you understand.

No question about it, Dale has provided more ideas, suggestions and information than anyone else I can think of. The majority of forum members recognize that and stepped forward with spontaneous generosity last year to assist in replacing 'Timex'. We all wanted to see Dale on an FJR. His resurrection of the DeerStriker to it's current state of being has just been nothing short of genius.

Glad to hear you will be able to make it Dale. Ride safe dude.

Since you will be at the WFO4, will you do me the honor of offering GPS product as a door price or raffle for our FJR forum members that are attending.

I will be offering the Magellan GPS system because Magellan will work with me with this type of sponsorship.

If you are up to it, Please give away a surprise GPS raffle for a Magellan GPS system at the WFO!

Is this possible or should we just skip it?

Thanks

James ;)

I have been sort of busy with the rally. I haven't frequented this board much lately. If you are offering the GPS for the WFO4 group we certainly appreciate it. As to the "same" group, I'd say 70 % of WFO3 will be there. We are all one happy group and all belong to the same ideolgy....FJR's rock.

If you have particulars on what and how of the GPS gift I can be contacted through here or the web site: www.wfo4.com

thanks Dan - sharp

I got it handled with 04FJR4ME.... I'll be bringing the goods to Bellingham; I should get there early Saturday afternoon .... B)

Thanks James. One of the owners at the table where I was sitting wond the GPS. A very generous contribution in support of the FJR Community.

The guy was sitting next to me. And I missed it by one number.

Thanks for your generous donation 04FJR4ME I will be talking to you in the near future about a GPS purchase. :cownoy:

I was the "Lucky Dog"(NASCAR term) at the table with MM2 and Bluestreek!. I could not read the ticket number so I asked Bluestreek to read it to me. Low and behold they called out 232 and that was my ticket. I was very fortunate. Per the instructions for winning, I have contacted Rick and thanked him for the GPS. It will be sent to me in the mail. Again thanks to all for a great event, I shall make it to Reno in 2006.

When you get back from your trip, contact Rick please at 408-298-8188.

It maybe to much to ask of you, but since you are in California, if you have a chance it will be great if we can get a picture of you and your FJR with the Magellan RoadMate 700 that YOU HAVE WON!

Let me know if this is o.k with you?

Thanks again ;)

If you would like to see a picture of TurboDave's FJR before he installs the new GPS you can look at " Fjr Setup For Distance Riding" in the Long Distance section of this forum.
