Questions for returning Iraq Vets

What do you wear under all that gear? I mean it must be warm over there and it looks like you have several layers on. Do you have cooling vests or do you just deal with it. Because it looks like you are dressed for severe winter weather.

Under Armour. The stuff is spendy but great. There really isn't anyplace to cool a cooling vest.

Sometimes...depends on whether or not we are standing up or bending over. :blink:

In all seriousness, lots of dudes decide commando is the only way to go. Use of Underarmor has been restricted in theater because it tends to melt into flesh when exposed to flaming balls of fiery goodness (i.e. explosions). Depending on operational tempo and frequency, you might not get a chance to get to a shower for a week or so... and it's far easier and a little healthier to wear nothing under your utilities.

I guess youth is the best thing to take over there, but I am fresh out of that.

Uhh...no. Can't speak for the Army, but I'm pretty sure, again...no.

Uh No. Djibouti is Africa Hot.

The only flies that are bad are the ones that bite. Sorry I have been back a year, I forgot they all bite.

The problem I have going Commando is if I sit too fast I end up hurting myself. Gravity can be a ***** some times.
