Apparently went into the hospital Sunday with chest pains, died of heart failure.

R.I.P.

I grew up listening to his audio tapes. I'll miss his work.

Yeah, really enjoyed Carlin's work for many years. Definately a great comedian with a bit of philosopher underneath.

Bad news, indeed. They had just announced last week that he'd be the 11th recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. There was to be a Kennedy Center tribute performance by his colleagues on November 10th this year. I was looking forward to the laughs.

RIP George, we'll miss your style.

Yea....

Agree, it is a sad loss. :(

RIP George!

He was however 1 of my picks this year in my celebrity death pool :)

29 points...Ka Ching!

Just a few nights ago I said to my wife how old he was looking, it wasn't going to be long.

RIP to one of my all time favorites, commedian and person.

I played many of his bits for my two kids while driving them to school. It worked. They both can actually think for themselves.

"There's no room for my stuff 'cause all your ****'s in the way!"

RIP
