Hi you all

There has been many topics abouth the R1 shifter and if it is help to shift?

I have a 2004 FJR and wonder if I have any use of it?

Is it that good?

Asking for help from all you that have experiance.

Been considering the same for my '05.  Which year R1 shifter did you use, and do you know the part number to facilitate ordering?

I used the arm on the right. Such a thing as too short.

 
Thank you, gentlemen. I recalled that pic, but didn't realize it had the years on it. That's enough for me to specify in an upcoming call to University Motors.

Rad, your comment was exactly what I was wondering about -- and I'd expect to agree that there is such a thing as too short. So, I'll get the longer '02 version.

Seeing the picture made me go look. I didn't realize there were two versions. I'm also using the one on the right and it made an HUGE difference. I was always missing the 1-2 shift. (I have the same problem on my dirt bike.) I just don't seem to move my foot up enough for the jump over neutral. Anyway, I don't miss them any more and I can shift smoother because I spend less time with the clutch in. JMHO!
