I just saw on Facebook that the historic Rabbit Hash General store which was built on the banks of the Ohio River in the 1830's has burned to the ground. Too soon for any idea why but one can always assume faulty electrical wiring. It is in a great area to ride and was a mecca for Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky riders to go and hang out.

Wow that sucks. Been a couple years since my last visit. Started going down to Rabbit Hash with my parents as a little kid 50 years ago.

...and spontaneous combustion.

Seems like there was all sorts of news stories in the late 70s and 80s about people spontaneously combusting in the favorite chair. Don't hear much about that these days.

That was the Witches in Salem. But not so spontaneous. More like on purpose!

...except they didn't burn them either. They were hanged.

They have started a go fund me account to rebuild the store and raised over 30 grand at last check so it most likely will get rebuilt. I always enjoy going there, it's offbeat and wacky and I see all kinds of bikes. Harleys are the predominant brand but Rabbit Hash isn't just for pirates. Last time I was there I played fetch with the Mayor Lucy Lu until my arm was about to fall off, she even followed me into the art gallery and dropped the stick at my feet. I tell ya the Mayor is a dog!
