Thought parts were gonna be a real problem at first. While stuff isn't falling outta the sky, it's amazing what I've found so far. Set of 3rd os pistons, rings and gaskets, 2 petcocks, cables, wheel bearings, brake shoes, even a front brake cam lever, and thats just the NOS stuff! WTF did people do before Ebay, really? It is a restorers dream,I tell ya.

Actually, they didn't. Went to plenty of swap meets in my timeand have made some good scores. But they occurred infrequently, required a lot of digging through boxes and tables of stuff you didn't want or need, in order to hopefully find the pieces you were looking for. Internet means I sit on my fat *** and shop to my hearts content-and at a national markey to boot. Internet rocks!

Nice bike Dave. My 77 BMW still had the towell too...but the air pump fell off somewhere...so I sold it and bought an FJR ;)

HEY RADMAN!THAT WAS MY FIRST SERIOUS BIKE!1966 I believe!Anyway I still got a GT500 and the place for parts is Paul Miller In Conneticut. Most T20's will run a long long time. The only problem now is finding someone with the jigs to do a crank rebuild.Seals,Bearings,Spokes, decals, spockets and chains are easy to find. The odd rubber parts like the wheel dampers can be a lot more difficult.I do know someone that can make a mold for most of the parts but you better have deep pockets.I run Klotz in my GT500 because I like the smell of it and it fouls my plugs less.Love that veggie cooking out the tailpipe. The safest injector oil is Belray SI7.It dominated the marketplace in the 70's

Thanks, appreciate the tips!
