If you guys would invest in a decent windscreen (can you say Cee Bailey?), then you would have real aircraft grade plexiglass and not that cheapo acrylic wannabe stuff.

:)

For the record, Cee Bailey said Rain-X is fine with all their shields. "It was originally made for aircraft windshields" was the response I recieved directly from CB.

Personally, I hate the stuff! Too damn much work to apply and get buffed clear.

Just in case you're one of those folks that has more money than brains you could try THESE out. No affiliation (ok, ok, I am a shareholder), YMMV, etc.

Anyone know the best price online for Plexus? I've used it before and really liked it but can't seem to find it now.
Stop by the local general aviation airport and most FBOs have windshield cleaner.

Pledge is great, but I've seen the lemon-scent draw bees.

History proves that when I wash the bike it causes rain.

I was wondering about the rainx on the yami shield also. I've used rainx on my Shoei helmet visor for the last 10 years and no problems with the shield. Riding here in the rainy Pacific Northwest, I need it on my helmet so I can see on my daily commute. It rains every single day here in Seattle (or at least that's the reputation we have).
