Looking at used bikes to get a cruise control and there are a surprising number of lowered FJRs. Is it hard to go back to original? Will I need original parts?

Thanks ahead

Lowered generally just means dogbones and these aren't expensive to replace. Maybe the front forks have been moved up in the triple clamp (easy fix). The only other thing might be modified side-stand or scooped out seat.

Check to see if the owner kept the original parts. Also check for a service folder that documents all services. Bonus points if they put all receipts for accessories into the folder.

If it's missing any of the above, I would move on. Keeping all of the above usually means they were detail oriented about the care and feeding of the bike so makes the buy that much more reassuring.
