Rally Planning Worksheet

Here is a rally planning worksheet that I use to help plan my rally's. It allows me to figure out how many hours I have for riding and how many miles I can ride in a leg and the whole rally if it is a multi-leg rally like an IBR style.

You can use the worksheet many different ways. One way is to figure out your riding hours and miles then use that information to plan your route and be sure not to exceed the hours and miles the worksheet generated. A second way is to plan your route and then plug in the numbers including how many bonus stops and gas stops your route has to see if you have time to ride that route and still make it to the checkpoint on time.

The worksheet has different colored cells and the only ones that take input are the green colored cells. I have mouse roll over help on all of the green cells to assist you in what information goes in that cell. All of the other cells are protected so you do not make a mistake and enter data in a cell that has a calculation. You can always unprotected the worksheet and make any changes to the calculations you want.

This is simple math and not rocket science. But it does save you a lot of time having to recalculate the numbers on a calculator every time you make a change. It also keeps you from making mistakes when using a calculator.

The worksheet is Office 2007 / 2010 and if you need it in another version let me know. Please pass on any comments you have good or bad so I can improve it if needed.

Thanks. I have a few versions of peoples work sheets I am looking at trying to use in some rallies this coming seasons (hopefully).

Pretty cool! Not so sure you should have given it to me, though, as I'm such a serious competitor!

Thanks Greg,

These are all numbers I keep in my head normally, but you've got them laid out nicely. Less chance of an error when routing on the clock, tired, and not thinking straight!

My Office 2003 didn't open it up, but there is enough info here for me to get creative and make a copy.
