I'm getting a RAM Aqua Box for my Nuvi GPS. I want to mount it to an N/Line dash shelf (about to be ordered). Does anyone know which RAM parts I will need to do a flush mount? Thanks in advance.

Go here to see what attaches to your Model, then shop around for good prices:

For example, this cradle mounts my StreetPilot 2730 to my N/Line (yours would be different):

Is yours waterproof? Might consider an Aquabox.
Marty;

I'm going to be using the Aquabox. My real question is what parts I need to connect the Aquabox to the Dash as flush as possible. All the mounts I've seen so far have thos middle arms.

What parts do you have actually connecting your StreetPilot mount to the dash?

Thanks

I've got the Ram magnetic mount for my V1 and I just took the ram ball off and bolted it directly to the n-line shelf

I would use one of these and drill a couple holes in the shelf. Then use an arm to go to the Aquabox. It is pretty tight up there between the shelf and the windshield though and connecting all the parts together takes up space fast. there are several other possibilities that would work as a base, go to ram-mount.com and look through the selection of bases.

I personally like the GPS to be on the handlebars or the triple clamp though as it is positioned better for me to use while on the move. I use the shelf for things that I don't need to touch while on the move like, ezpass, radar, SPOT, etc. The shelf, at least on my bike, is susceptible to vibrations which would make it difficult to read the screen. Just something to think about.

That cradle that holds the 2730 bolts right to the shelf. I mounted the GPS on the shelf because mounting it on the handle bars was too close. I needed the distance and angle to be able to see the screen. Otherwise I was looking too far down and too long, keeping my eyes from the road.

DaJuice is correct, there is not a lot of room above the shelf; if the AquaBox is tall it will hit the windshield. I have an Escort that also perches on the shelf, right next to the GPS. I used hook-n-loop for the past two years, but it is not secure, moves a little too much. I have a magnet mount for it, I will change to that this spring.

In the photo (before I mounted the Escort) you can see how far back I had to mount my cradle so it wouldn't hit the windshield. In case you are wondering, the power cable splits and one end speaks directions to my Starcom.

I put my aquabox I bought for my Nuvi on the shelf and took some pics to show you how much room is there. I have a Cee Bailey's windshield on which may be a little different than stock. From the pic, the curve in my sheild looks like it is actually giving extra room.
