So, this thing is THIS Friday, Feb. 12, at 0830 at your place, compadre? For SURE?
...and Payson is what, 90 miles away? Lunch? You guys are walkin' there?

Johnny80's pace?
Just got a phone call from Nate White-Bluebullet and this is ABSOLUTELY a solid GO! We'll meet Kenny Hodgson and his riding buddies at the Shell on Shea at 0915!

Hey now, don't make fun of johnny80's pace! Juan and I get at the back of the pack when Fairlaner and Lanny are riding along with their hair on fire; slow and easy!

I just received a message from "Old Michael" O'Keeffe and he will be on this ride tomorrow. Riding all the way from NorCal for our SW ride, he's not an "FJR Kitten"!

Oh btw I only have my helmet boots gloves and a non armored leather jacket with me. If anyone coming has extra riding pants and an armored jacket that will fit a 6 foot 180 lb person that would be awesome.

Nate

Big D, only one person bothered to take any, and he's not posting anything until he gets home.

Nate and I had a hell of a good time yesterday, riding around this beautiful country with Master BeemerdonStanley, and a few of his Beemer boys. Well worth the trip. Love ya, Papa Chuy! This'll be one I remember for a good while.

Great! Glad you guys had a good time. I look forward to seeing the pictures. :clapping:

What route did you guys take?

For my friend WheatonFJR and others visiting Arizona, looking for a super riding route. From Chandler take the 101 North up to Mesa and Arizona Route 87. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona_State_Route_87

AZ 87 is also known as the Beeline Highway. A great place in Payson for breakfast or brunch is the Crosswinds Grille at the City Airport. From Payson head East on Arizona Route 260, also know as the Mogollon Rim Route. You will arrive at US Route 60 at the town of Showlow, Arizona. This city gets its name from a famous card game played in the 1800's, where the two biggest ranchers in the area - sworn enemies, bet on who'd stay and who would leave town. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Show_Low,_Arizona

The main drag through Showlow is Deuce of Clubs Road, was the winning card determining who won the town. You then head Southwest on US 60 through the amazing Salt River Canyon. It is a miniature Grand Canyon, with Alps like hairpin switchback twisty curves leading you down to the valley floor and back up the other side. If you like white water rafting, this is the river for you. All this area is Reservation Lands of the Apache Indians, descendants of Geronimo. You arrive at Globe and on to my favorite Mexican restaurant North of the Border, located in copper town Superior: Los Hermanos La Comida! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_River_(Arizona)

From Florence Junction you continue West on US 60 to Loop 202 taking you South to Chandler again. An incredible 375 miles and easy-peasy 8 hours ride. https://www.loshermanosrestaurant.com/

Wheatie, it was a real pleasure meeting him and riding with Nate; a real classy Guy! Mark and Nate are two of the four people I know from the Midwest, the other two are SkooterG and Bustanut joker. Like I said, a real pleasure being around and socializing with Nate and Mark; those other two, not so much and.............

Damn, Old Michael is great with that PhotoShop process. He made this photo look like he was holding my *** and I was reaching for his crotch. Not a real photograph!
