Does anyone have a source for stick on rear cowling bump pads? I need one for my '05 Corbin Smuggler, and while the '06 model comes with one as standard equipment, they don't retrofit to '05 Smugglers. I posted this in Parts and Accessories, but this location may generate more replies. Just need something to protect the front of the Smuggler when I scooch back in the seat against the front of the Smuggler rear cowling.

I've done Google searches with no real luck in finding a source, but you sportbike owners all have one on your bikes, no?

If nobody has a source, you could go to a fabric store and buy some naughahyde to build your own. Fold over the edges, use a little spry-on contact cement, then attach with velcro. If you are really clever, buy some foam rubber sheeting or squares and make a thin backrest (butt-rest?).

Or you could go to a "bike-parts-in-a-box" store (Like CycleGear) and buy a sheet of fake Carbon Fiber w/ adhesive on one side (Or some clear 3M shelving paper) and make your own protector.
