Rear Dif Oil Question

Your Chevy diff also holds almost a gallon of fluid. These bikes hold about 1/4 quart.

My Ford is supposed to never need a change unless submerged, but these are different applications. There is absolutely no sense in doing a change before the recommended interval though. They don't run that hot.

 
Is that fight still going on here? These oil threads are fun to read. People are funny...and I'm only moderately drunk.

 
My Canadian manual mentions to change the dif oil every 10000 kms.... which is once during a riding season for me (damn you Winter). Keeping the cost of the oil in mind, no big deal.
