I am attempting to adjust my rear rebound but the adjuster seams to have lost its clicks. Ok hearing the clicks on all of the front adjustments. I think that perhaps I overtightened it all the way up and stripped something. IS this a replaceable part if stripped? Any ideas appreciated. Any ideas on how to adjust without clicks - like how many degress of turn equals 3 clicks out? Thanks,

Never really heard mind "click" bob. Just felt it step or bump. I don't think you can do a whole lot about it if it's stripped.

:jester:

There have been reports of owners turning their adjuster too far and bottoming the internals which then "stick". I don't remember the particulars but you may be buying a new shock.

EDIT:

I used the Google search method and typed in rear shock rebound site:fjrforum.com. In that list was this post.

Somewhere there is the post by Bearly Flying about getting the rod to "free up". You might wait and see if he posts here or send him a PM.

After a 35k the rebound adjuster on my shock stopped having any effect on the damping (but it did click).

You could consider this your excuse to get an aftermarket shock ...

if you can take a sharp scribe or pick and gently try pulling down on the rod that extends up from the adjuster into the shock. Without the pressure from the rod on the adjuster it will not "click".
