Dang, this is a timely bit of info!! I just replaced the rear tire and lubed the splines+ujoint while I had it up. Holy Moly I just crammed it back in with no alignment.

I think maybe when I start her back up, I'll just attach some big bungies front and rear so it'll just sproing if it's got a problem!

BorkerForker has it all wrong.

Turn the Feeger upside down, then find tire BDC...

much easier and faster this way.

I think there is a future for your friend in politics...or maybe even you. This friends advise makes as much sense as the notion that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of **** by the clean end. And I hate to say it, but anyone who would even take time to ask the question about this aligning b.s., should only be on bikes that have peddles...and then only wearing a helmet.

Damn, that question is a real knee slapper. One of the best.

Well Bokerfork, you got your help. Not sure how much it was appreciated by you. So, who is this 'fellow rider'? C'mon, you got to 'out' him.

This is an easy fix and you don't even have to remove wheel or shaft, but it may take a few tries! Just pull in the clutch for a few seconds. Keep trying and eventually you'll hit it and everything will be perfectly timed!
This only fixes the problem if the bike is in gear doesn't it?

Quit f#%king around and just line up the timing marks and be done with it. If it isn't right it will try to fly like Skooter's bike so make sure you line up the marks. :p

Because of the level of importance, it's imperative for the home-tuner to find the timing-marks on the rear hub...If the timing marks are, for some reason, un-available? Using one of these:

will allow you to make your own timing-marks -- get it right, tho...  ... ;)
