I was going to shoot some photos of the 06 Rectifier so you folks could compare it to the previous year models. I looked up it's location in the 05 manual, but can't find it there on my 06. I guess they moved it, not sure if it was to accomadate the new air flow passages or some other reason, but it ain't there.

And no, I am not going to remove my stator just so I can take a photo of it for you.

I did measure the depth of the alternator cover from the engine casing to the first ridge is 74mm. Dunno if this is any different from the 01-05's or not. To the outer edge it is about 80mm.

Well, damn...... :(

I just went to the garage to take a comparison measurement on my '03, but immediately realized I can't take a measurement in this same area... 'cuz a BikeJohnny carbon fiber armour piece resides atop my stator cover! :(

Well... one of you '03-'05 owners will have to break out your precision calipers and see if your stator cover is this same 74mm depth, or is it something less.....

I just posted the pictures of the actual 2006 stator over in "Technical Discussions" if you guys want to see 'em.

You got about another 20-30 minutes before I start buttoning it back up, so if you want some other pics or any measurements let me know quick!

Just FYI...

Rectifier is underneath the subrame. It resides above the swingarm to the rear of the shock. Can't miss it. :detective2:
