Have you looked at a 2014 on a bright, sunny day? Out in the heat of summer all those things cease to matter and that bike becomes one of the most perfect motorcycles to ever roll off an assembly line.

No, no, yes. LOL! Sorry, but every time I look at pics of the red '14 I have coming, I flinch....What were they thinking????? No wonder they went back to color matching side pannels....well, my search on how to get the red pannels goes on...I PMed SkooterG. (The NT I have came with dinky pannier covers so that all you could fit into the panniers was a flat sandwitch. $500 later and imported from England, I have real color matched NT "big Lids". Honda refused to provide them in the US.

I don't know if this was mentioned elsewhere, but Tankslapper will wrap your tank trim if you send it to them. PartShark is your best price. I got them two years ago for $63ea free shpn and no sales tax. The local stealer wanted almost double that price. The color is an exact match. If the silver ones are not damaged put them up for sale. I sold mine on this forum for $100. What are you waiting for??

I know where you are coming from and felt your pain.

It just took a couple thousand dollars to upgrade to a proper color.

I went from Ok to WOW!

The funny thing is I never warmed up to the color of my 2013 while I owned it but when I see them now I like the look.

The 2013 color is one of my favs. Very classy. It looks to me that the color changes slightly in different light environments.

Although I favor both the more subdued '13 and '15 over the '14, I'd be more than happy to have either one in my garage.

I'm happy with my "Stealth" FJR and am perfectly happy to ride right by the Pink bikes as they are bathed in Red and Blue lights alongside the road
