Now Zilla, you know I love all FJRs. In fact, some of my best friends ride 2014 FJRs...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with riding a lipstick pink bike. You guys just look Fabulous! And Precious! And I just love the way you fellows accessorize and color coordinate your outfits to match. If Liberace were alive today I have no doubt he would own a 2014 FJR. And he would definitely be wanting to add some bling to his side panels.

Yes, I did coin the "Lipstick Pink" term. It was (and is) to poke fun at my friends, it is not to be taken as a real insult. I came very close to buying one of those bright red bikes. There has not been any color for any year FJR that I would not be proud to own. They all look really good to me, this bike has wonderful lines.

I do not know what other FJR riders think, but when I look at my '15 cloaked in its stealth gray and sinister black all is right with my world. That color scheme suits me. It is not for everyone.

Yes it was RFH who started it, but whatever he says about lipstick pink, I'll agree with him! I actually love red bikes and have mostly had one, along with many of my past vehicles. Red Wing fan ya know. But the FJR red seems a little too bright (pink)..... actually reminds me of the Chrysler Inferno Red, which before it got its tinted clearoat (bluish) it was orangey.. Here is one that was unobtainium in the USA... beauty, eh, JSNS.

Ok,,ok. Let me clarify a couple things. Yes,, it is easy to find lipstick to perfectly match my bike. I keep plenty.. Liberace would be proud.. I'm ok with that. But Millions of others are ok with that also. By FAR,, the Candy Red is the most exciting popular color ever to grace the mighty FJR. And "it is not for everyone" could not be more true regarding the graphite 2015. Actually it is not for anyone ,, as there were only about 6 sold in the entire U.S. Showrooms and inventories are clogged with them. Put that in your pipes,,,,,,,,,,,,aw crap,, I smeared my lipstick and broke a nail... Gotta go..

I have to give G Squared credit for honesty. He told me flat out that he did not like the Liquid Graphite of the 2015 as well as he liked the Lace Panty Pink of his 2014. He never tried to talk me out of it, he helped me all he could. I got the bike I wanted, in the color scheme I never knew I wanted.

If there were only 6 2015s sold nationwide then G must be an awesome salesman because he happily sold mine to me.

And for the record, he was not wearing lipstick and manicured nails when he worked for Yamaha. That all started when he went to work for Ford.

Well, Abercrombie FJR has hurt my feelings. Now I am insulted.

I do not like to engage in sarcasm and I do not like to insult other people's choices but...

The 2015 Liquid Graphite Paint is completely different in its chemical makeup from the Candy (Butt) Red of the 2014. The Liquid Graphite is made from military rifle powder, Winchester lever action rifles, Colt 1911s, Huey rotor blades, and is mixed with Grizzly Bear blood and Jack Daniels Whiskey deep inside Mount St. Helens during an eruption. While the bikes are being painted John Wayne movies are showing on every wall of the paint booth.

The 2014 Candy Red paint (aka Lipstick Pink, aka Lace Panty Pink) is made of rose petals, shiny nail polish, maybelline lipstick, Harlequin Romance novels, and mixed with Zima and Champagne inside a Louis Vuitton purse. The bikes are painted inside a hair salon in Beverly Hills while Liberace plays softly in the background.

Don't I remember you throwing that pretty pink bike on the ground shortly after you brought it home. And if gsquared worked for Ford, he must be proud to be associated with the only American car maker not on welfare. ;)

You chaps are confused.

1. I do not own a pink bike. I have the Liquid Graphite '15 ES. And yes, I wrecked it about 12 hours after I bought it.

2. Proficient with most things feminine.

I do my best to help you guys out and this is the thanks I get.

Probably one of the funniest things I've read on this forum. I'd argue with you, but my Pink Lady was moved into the dining room this past weekend so she wouldn't get too cold, so I got nuthin'.

But you do know, bigjohnsd, that the redder they get, the more the chicks dig them, right?

(Please don't tell my lady that I said that)

Dumb question.....is this for an outside skin only? Stated another way.....does the side panel have to be dissembled, and then put back together again with the new colored outer portion?

It would appear that way, looking at the parts diagram...

Saw the blue today. All you guys riding around on ugly red or graphite bikes are gonna be pissed when folks start riding these beauties around town.
