Reinstall stock bar-end weights

This is just a cosmetic issue, but it is annoying to me.

Well, then....MAN-UP, slap the old lady, and ride it like ya stole it!

Seriously, I'm thinking it's the position of the grips.

I took a long, hard look at my bike, which is, like I said, exactly opposite of your pictures. My left grip is 1/4 inch away from the bar end. My right grip is almost touching the bar end.

Not right, I thought....'til I measured the gap between the bar and the bar end. Both were identical. Both sticking out the end of the bar stock exactly the same amount.

The difference between the two is strictly grip position. The clutch-side grip was slid and glued on further than the throttle side grip when the bike was assembled. That explains the difference on MY bike.

Did you measure the actual distance between the bar and the bar end? Ignore the grip...measure the "hard parts."

Dug up an old one here. The 14mm socket worked perfectly. One more old thread that was a big help - thanks!
