Long time lurker, first time poster! Now I sound as lame as all those first time callers on talk radio, sweet!

If you don't remember the old radian that slap'n'pop pulled out of his garage, you can reference this thread.

I'll skip the newbie post section as I'm not a hardcore FJR man, but I do love the ol' yammies. I've had the bike a little over a year now, and thought I should post up pics for slap'n'pop (who no longer works one desk over), and anyone else who enjoys a good overhauling. Pics of the original bike are plenty in the thread referenced at the top. So now I bring you the new and improved '86 Radian. Enjoy, and hopefully I'll be spending quality time in the Rides section now that she's alive.

that looks better than I believed possible. Great job!!!

Taking the rear rack off does wonders.

Thanks guys! It's mostly sweat equity....it's mostly rattle can work and some minor changes. Only new parts are the clubman bars, tires, chain, grips, brakes, and one or two little odds and ends. Many hours sanding and painting, assembling and unassembling, all the normal little stuff associated with a project you think will take two weekends and takes months.

Right now all it needs is the carbs sync'ed and some little round bar-end mirrors and I'll be good to go. And unlike those beautiful FJR monsters, I can flatfoot the radian!

That looks cool! I've got an '86 radian sitting in my garage. Hasn't run in years. This makes me think I should fix 'er up and make a streetfighter out of her. But, too many projects and too little time...

Hola PD, Welcome! I've seen that bike in person before. I love the look w/out the rear rack.
