Suggestion --
Before removing/installing the right & left side cowlings, stick a piece of masking tape on the upper body cowlings just below the three buttonhead cap screws which connect the side cowlings to the upper body cowlings. The three spring nuts on each side cowling can scratch the finish on the upper body cowlings when you're wrestling the side cowlings into position for installation or during removal. The masking tape will protect the finish from contact with the spring nuts. Once the side cowlings are in place you can easily remove the masking tape from the upper body cowlings.
When removing/installing the front wheel apply a strip of masking tape on the wheel rims next to the brake calipers. When you remove/install the calipers from the forks the masking tape will protect the wheel rims as you wrestle the calipers off the brake discs. The clearances are tight so it's easy to bump the rims with the calipers.
