RenoJohn does Oregon this weekend ...meet up anyone?

Leaving Reno this afternoon (Aug25) to do some Oregon riding .....just thought I'd throw this out in case there are any folks in the area who might want to put some miles on with me and/or offer suggestions. I'll be on some good/unique roads.

General overview:

- Friday afternoon Leave Reno ..spend night in Medford (Eagle Point specifically)

-Saturday leave Medford to Crater Lake, then down the other side, up 97 (a bit) to Crescent, back road to hwy 58 to Eugene then 126 along the McKenzie River where I want to explore Cougar Reservoir and go through the towns of Nimrod, Blue River etc etc ......eventually hitting Sisters and dropping down into Bend where I'll spend Sat night.

-Sunday head west out of Bend on 46 up to Mt. Bachelor ..and continue on taking it down the back way ....eventually ending up in Crescent (really looking forward to being on this scenic road for the first time!) Then up 97 toward LaPine ..take hwy 31(never been on before) down through Lakeview, Cedarville to Gerlach (home of Ironbutt fame as well as home of BurningMan which is just gearing up ...then home to Reno USA.

Just ran across this, Sept 5th.

I was the FJR Owner that met you in Oakridge and we road up FR 43.

Hope your ride up Hwy 19 and 243 were great and you made it back to Reno safe.

Hello Ken! What a great treat it was to meet up with you and your wife! Yep, I'm soooo glad that you reminded me of 19 ...I can't believe I had half forgotten that road ...and it was as GREAT as I remembered it being. once up in McKenzie, I took the scenic route to Sisters ..I had NEVER BEEN ON THAT ROAD! ...embarrassed to say it as it was fantastic as well!! Bend was great, met up with a buddy and we had a great ride back to Reno.
