That should produce a fault code which should help with diagnosis. Doubt it is your ignition switch. Check the connectors to the fuel tank and plug wires as a start. Also make sure you don't have a vacuum leak (disconnected or cracked hose).check engine light (cel) stays on and the bike runs terrible,
Yes, you are. Instead of co-opting another thread, you should start your own thread by clicking on "Post Thread. I've moved it to a new thread this time, but if you don't know how to start a thread in the future, please ask somebody first.Ok guys, I've been on this forum long enough to know how to post a new question but I don't. I'm probably doing this wrong but here goes....
@Ignacio I wouldn't hijack or "co-opt" a thread, that's not a fair assumption on your part - that had to have been a mistake. I know how to post as this is not my first rodeo on forums. I'd like to see the post you're talking about and where it was posted before; I can't tell now which conversation it is that you moved because the link in the notification you sent does not work.Yes, you are. No prob, thats why I was confused, because it actually appeared in my inbox notifications like he was addressing me.Sunnyorlando, @Ignacio was referring to me regarding the "co-opt". An error on my part that spilled over into your cup. Any yes, it was a mistake. Apologies
I received a similar "Alert". I asked about it and it appears to have been a forum glitch (or software misunderstanding) that sent the notification to us because we were participants in the thread in question. The only issue was a piggyback on a thread that should have been started as a new thread and something messed up when posts were moved. (I suspect an automatic message sent when ADMIN entered a reason for moving a thread...)No prob, thats why I was confused, because it actually appeared in my inbox notifications like he was addressing me.
Thanks for the clarification!

Not a problem..
Well, that's all good to know - I wouldn't want to get anyone (Ignacio) upset...Not a problem..
Hi all and thanks for the replies. I posted the cause of the problem but apparently in all the confusion the post got lost. Anyway, rechecked the bundle of wires going to the ECU and noticed the orange wire had pulled out slightly as I could see the shiny "pin" not seated properly. Must have happened when I serviced the air filter. Pushed the pin back into the harness and all is good. No check engine light and runs as she should.Yes, you are.
