Wow glad I introduced myself when I first registered or I probably wouldn't have found out about this were it not or a couple of "hey you should check out the Rueben Run" posts!
We will be taking our first road trip on the new ride the week prior. Heading down to Yosemite via Lassen and Whiskeytown then back through the Redwoods and Crater Lake. But hell after wading through the last eight pages of "I'll be there" it would be a crime for us not to make it, I mean hey we live in DRW, what I affectionately refer to as North La Pine. I better make sure we get Joel at the Harvest Depot the new griddle he ordered by then!

Looking forward to this one!
Timing is everything... welcome to the circus! B)

I've just booked a room down the road at the Highlander. Will cancel the single queen at the Best Western if no one wants it.

Ray, and all......Alas, after having found my way to La Pine for the last couple of Ruben Runs I will not be able to be there this year. I will be thinking of all of you standing/sitting out in front of the Best Western and riding around that lovely countryside.

Wife gave me kitchen pass on her birthday, so I am in.
Good for you wingshot! The diamond in that BD gift must be a big'un...

escapefjrtist,

The diamond might have been cheaper. Where were you when I needed that advice. Instead, we are spending a week in a luxury cabin on banks lake. I may have been able to afford two diamonds for the price of the cabin. Ugh. Guess I better ride my backside off during the RR weekend as it is going to be a long time to pay off the week vacation.

Sacramentomike,

I messaged allrider for you. He hopefully will be getting in touch soon.

Dislike
+1 We will miss you Joe!

I just cancelled my Queen Room at the Best Western was booked from Thursday 17th - Sunday 20th

Somehow my feeble mind skipped a week in September, I thought the event was the weekend after Labor Day :( . On the other hand I took Ray and Patti to Breakfast this morning and Ray and I both had a Reuben Omelette! Enjoy yourselves folks, I'll be there in spirit. Hope to see some of you in Red Lodge next June!!!

Just an FYI that some road work is happening on the east rim of Crater Lake as of Monday Aug 31st. Still worth the ride but build in some extra time for the full show.

Anyone interested in riding from Seattle Thursday morning? The route i have in mind is to go east of Mt Rainier, St Helens, Hood, and down 26 and 97 to LaPine.

That's a really long day, especially with the leg from Randle to Windy Ridge to Carson......but we had the same conversation a couple of years ago.

I may do this on Thursday and go see the Goose on Friday morning.

That's a good route Panman, you'll enjoy the Klickitate route and then the Clackamas route to Detroit is really a good ride. I think you will enjoy it.

I'm going to be leaving Oregon City and head through Silverton to 22 then onto Sisters and La Pine
