Why, the 2008* Dodge Hemi Challenger, of course! You better get this on the street, but quick, DCX!

Yummy! :dribble:

* Some are reporting it as a 2006 (which is accurate as this is for the '06 IAS in Detroit), others have it as an '07 and still others are calling it an '08. I'm going with '08 inasmuch as this is a show car and you need 30 months to get the production model going...

Edit:

Dit, dot, didit, dit, diiit... This just in, Chevy considers a Camaro rivial...

I guess we should thanks FoMoCo for the new Mustang for the potential goodies, eh?

There was just an article in the local rag about how much the real muscle cars are going up in value.True classic cars have appreciated over 25% in the last four years. They just sold a 1971 Cuda 426 hemi convertible ( the rarest of the rare ) at auction for $3,000,000 !!

Wish I still had my 64 GTO !

or my 56 Chebbie wagon

or my 66 Nova SS

Bawwaaaaaa sniff sniff

( but I do have a 69 Barracuda in the garage waiting for some love ! )

Funny how it's impossible to find a 318 powered 70-72 Cuda or Challenger any more. Guess they were all 440 or Hemi powered. ;) Must of imagined all the Slant Six powered ones I thought I remembered.

This shit makes me sick! I had a '70' Barracuda with a 318. Wrecked that. Then I had a '70' Cuda with the 340 package. Wrecked that. I think that's where all the good old Mopars end up. You know the saying, Young, dumb and full of...

wyowags, that 340 wasn't by chance an AAR w/6 pk and trumpets was it? if so you better still be crying!! I had a 71 Cuda w/383 back about 1978, had it about 6 mts, sold it and made what I thought was a big profit, for somewhere about 1k more than what I paid for it , sold it to a guy who turned it into a straight racer, it burned from electrical short under the dash, he had it for about a year before it burned completely up.

donaldb,

I wish it would ahve been an AAR! I might have been a llittle smarter with it. Nope 340, Edlebrock Torker, Holley 850, auto w/shift kit. It was kind of a dog off the line but when it shifted into 2nd at 50mph, look the **** out!

Way nice, the Challenger is for me! Cannot stand the new fake "Charger". Chargers have 2 doors, period. I like the Chrylser 300, I don't like Chrysler turning one into a wanna be Charger.

My dad had a 68 Charger w/440, my first car a '73 Charger w/440. Great memories.
