I am meeting Jeff Ashe & lovely lady, Karen Friday afternoon in Morganton, NC for a run into the mountains. We are spending the night at a hotel & Saturday, we are taking the long & loopy way to his cabin in Hayesville, NC. We intend to return home on Sunday.

Last night, we briefly discussed if anyone would like to join us. Jeff is going to post a "we might not go this way... but it'll be close" type map. If there are any Feej folks interested in joining us riding on Saturday, please do speak up, Heidi

My office is 4 miles from Hayesville. I would love to ride but I've got to work this weekend. Please keep me informed of future rides up this way.

I could not find Hayesville in my atlas. I'm up the road in upper east TN.

Was going to try to join up with them, but could not get loose Friday. Do not know what the later travel plans were, but the weather was lovely Sunday, the 11th - Not.

It was a bit... Breezy! atop Roan Mtn. TN on Saturday.

The girls stop beside The Gurls to powder their noses on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Weather on the BRP was magnificent and you could see for miles and miles.

Yes, I was there too!

The BRP was closed in two different areas, which made the original flight plan a bit impractical. The original plan was to use the BRP to work around Asheville.

However, we managed to ride 80 back and forth the full length, take in some 197 and several other prime targets in the northwest of Asheville region.

Ooh, I need to learn to suck in my tummy! That's so much easier that losing weight.

Good pics Jeff. I'll be sure to send some to you when I download mine.

PS, looks almost like I'm giving you the finger in that one picture.

YEA YEA Heidi, We know that you were just pickin your nose.

You're the only person who's perfected it with gloves on.

Eeeeeewwwww!!!

She was giving me the finger that she used to pick her nose!

BTW, what the first picture does NOT show, is how windy it was atop Roan Mtn. It was blowing rain, 42F, and 45 mph wind gusts.

Hey, you guys have matching windscreens. B)
There not exactly the same... but close. & that screen on my bike? It was custom cut by Meester Ashe. See the cutouts in the pic?
