It has been raining here for about to weeks, lows 30s.
Sat. looked good. Sun and in the 70s so I though I might go for a little ride.
The last time I rode up Mt. Shast it still had a lot of snow but that was
3 wks ago. So after gas and air off I went.
The highway looked clean, it can have a lot of small rocks from cars going off
the road as we have a lot flatlandes raceing up the Mt. But it looked clean.
As I started up I was thing keep right as mike said. and not 2 miles in, around
a blind rt.hand turn there were 4 bike riders, Mt bikes, taking up bouth lanes
coming down. The two bikes in my lane split apart with the bike on my right
moving farther right into my path. I started to brake and remembering look
where you want to go not at what you want to miss I was able to change my
line and split the bikes. I think without practice changing my line in the middle of
a curve I would have hit the bike.
After this I started counting the # of cars that were crossing the yellow line, 6
in all. No problum as I just stayed Rt. using only my 1/3.
Too look from 9000ft to city below is great and will worth your time.
