Don't know if anyone saw this, but Rider magazine ran a comparison test of the 2007 BMW K1200GT, 2007 Honda ST1300 ABS, 2008 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS, and 2007 Yamah FJR1300A. Results were:

1. Honda ST

2. Yamaha FJR (knocked out of 1st due to throttle problems)

3. Kawasaki Concours,

4. BMW K1200

Thought this was an unusual rating not following most other blurbs on the Kawasaki. Too bad the Yamaha didn't have a G2. The editor does have a footnote that the throttle problem has been rectfied on the new Yamaha.

Just goes to show how subjective these comparisons are. The other mag that did a camparo rated

1. Concurs

2. FJR

3. BMW

4. Honda ST

????? Apparently their rating system is completely different....

that's easy enough to figure out. are they looking for the best SPORT-tourer, the best sport-TOURER, or the best SPORT-TOURER. arguably, the FJR is the best of that last group.

Yeah, that was my thought too, but have not seen the actual article. If one was biased toward the purely touring end of things, the ST is the most agreeable of the bunch. It just lacks a little in the sport side of the equation...

And the conclusion of all these different ratings? Now is a good time to be riding a sport tourer! :yahoo:
