Riding Characteristics "change" without luggage?

...the weight from the bags shouldn't do anything to the suspension. I would expect the aerodynamics to perhaps change slightly, but that's about it unless folks are feeling the need to load the bags with 'stuff'.
Well, I probably pack more stuff than most...but I dress for all temps on cross country trips with no heated gear....so I've got lots of clothes and emergency tools...for emergency side of the road kind of stuff. My bags are probably 25-30 pounds a piece loaded.

However, if I am on a day ride with petey :dribble: , I like to have all the margin I can get...so I strip off the side bags. :clapping:

Plus since petey does it...it's good enough for me. It DOES make a difference.

The way petey rides, having you & the bike lighter may still prove difficult keeping up with that old man. :p

But it's always fun to try. ;)
