Curious as if anyone has a tradition or a traditional ride they do with a special person or reason to ride to help in the celebration of the holidays?

I started one last year with my boy. It is up early in the morning rain or shine fog or cold, I pick an Indian casino in the surrounding area go have breakfast enjoy the ride and the one on one we have with out all the other interferences that can happen. We each invest ten bucks and hope to hit a good pay day at one of the mega slot machine's ? Just one of lifes little treasuresm ........

Several years ago, going through divorce #2, feeling kinda low I took Miss Beemer for a very long ride across the CA Valley and Soda Lake. Soda Lake is mostly dirt, Miss Beemer had knobbies, the road was very wet, soft, muddy.. the guy at the FireStation before the dirt started thought I was c-r-a-z-y. One of the best rides of my life. Now every Christmas Eve I try to take another ride like that one.

On Christmas day and sometimes New Year's day... I like to just cruise around what are normally heavily congested areas... malls and the like. It's sort of eerie, like everyone evacuated.

NOt much time left till the jolly old man makes his rounds. So tomorrow it will be off for breakfast to the casino in Jackson Ca. and try to win the big one.

Wish everyone a very merry Xmas and a prosporus new year and hope to see others riders out tomorrow. ho ho ho ho

Was able to get some riding in on thursday 12-29-05. headed ouy of woodland up hwy. 16 past cache creek casino to hwy. 20. left at 1:30 pm nice cool weather hardly any traffic. One way is about 60 miles. On the return home from the ride I usually stop at the Quick stop market run be the casino for a warm beverage of choice. As I got off my bike another rider who was there on a zx1200 came over and was looking at my fejer. He liked what he saw and conversed with him for about 40 minutes. He said that is what he would like to get for his type of riding and for use for work. My fj was the first he has seen up close and was he impressed, if I would of had an extra I could have sold it right than and there. Maybe the next time I see him he will be on an fj. He is from Davis Ca. and works for the casino and an older rider. So had some fun on the ride and got to play sales man for Yamaha. Do they offer finder fees for saling their bike?
