I keep hearing this is going to be a long, tough, cold winter so I'm taking every opportunity to get a ride in. Hit upper fifties both days this weekend so went for a ride each day. I'm still taking it easy and trying to wear down a rear shinko that came with the zx. Not an especially confidence inspiring tire when it come to traction, so its a good opportunity to slow down and enjoy the scenery.

I'm lucky that I have miles and miles of twisties right in my area, but I still end up taking the same roads over and over it seems. So I'm taking GARoller's advice and explore my own backyard a little better. The county has been doing a ton of paving on secondary roads in my area the last few years and I'm finding roads that were once barely better than gravel are now pretty darn nice. I probably put on 100 miles and never got more than 5 miles from my house. Once of the spots I rediscovered was a covered bridge just a few miles down the road from me.

Unfortunately for you guys I don't have Roller's eye or skills for photography, but it was still fun nonetheless!

Hey Will, nice looking ZX. Good on you for getting out for a ride, I have not been out for a couple of weeks.

Nice bike!

I love riding this time of year. Down here, it's supposed to be in the 60's and 70's until Thursday, and then snow.

I have to go to Mexico City next week where it'll be in the upper 70's. When I get back home the forecast is a high of 27! Sucks.

There are not but a couple folks on this forum that can match GeorgiaRoller when it comes to photos. I don't even try to compete.

But, that does not matter. You still took some great pics and that SuperBad Kawasaki looks good in them. I appreciate you sharing your pics with us.

Comment! m/c tires like to be warm. On days when the average temp is in the 50's F. probably most tires don't get warm enough to work properly, unless maybe on a track where the're being worked hard? 2cents.

Forecast for this weekend is for highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 50s. I may just load up the FJR with the tent and go camping this weekend.

Nice! Covered bridges are always a cool stop to ride to. I think MO is supposed to get some snow/ice soon. Good that you snuck a ride in!
