I know, I know, this is sunny California, and it doesn't really get THAT cold. Unless you're in the mountains, or it's real early or late, or you're just not USED to the damn sub-zero temps, like Old Michael and I are not ("Pffffft. Sissy," indeed). Anyway, with my electrical-stingy KLR I worry about every watt, so I bought a pair of snowmobile mittens. Lots easier to keep those pinkies warm when you can make a fist and get a little contact warmth. And if it gets too bad, I bought a box of those chemical hand warmers to drop down inside. Last all day, about 50 cents a pair. Working fine.
