Meeting place on Saturday morning will be at the Dogwood Motel at 7AM (Tanks full) if you want to join for breakfast somewhere,

8AM (Tanks full) at the Dogwood for the ride if you don't make breakfast with us.

Riders on Saturday

wheatonFJR

petey

fjrrider

fjrrider's friend Jim

STL FJR

Some others may or may not be able to join us on Saturday....will only know that on Friday night. We'll be hanging around the Dogwood Fri night after supper to look over Saturday's route.

As far as I know, petey and I are the only ones scheduled to leave Bonne Terre FRI morning on our curvy tour of southern MO and AR Rt 9. Chime in if I missed anybody.

If anyone going on this ride is interested, I have converted the S&T files to Garmin GPD files for Saturday's ride.

PM me with your email address and I will forward them if you want them.

Heading out soon... :yahoo:

Petey, I'll see you in Hooterville for catfish at the Kettle and MO riding on FRI.

The rest of you I'll see at the Dogwood Motel in Mtn View,AR on Friday night or Sat am. :clapping:

Jim and I are heading out at 8:00 A.M., since its only about a three hour ride for us, were gonna see if we can get in to trouble somewhere. See ya"ll tomorrow evening.

Ok Petey, where you at? did you make it home alright?

I guess Wheatonfjr should be in a car about now on his way back to Chicago. Whats he going to do with his wrecked bike?

Scott

Hey Scott, made it home ok, got the bike all torn apart to see if I can find a short. It's going to be a challenge, since the problem comes and goes.

I say trade it!

Glad you made it home Peter. I had a great ride back, albeit a little chilly and foggy headin' up AR 9.

Beautiful views of the valley full of fog though once I got up to altitude.

Scott and Jim, good to meet/ride with you guys. I knew I'd like ya as soon as I saw Jim's GS. :yahoo:

See you guys next time.

Well, I'll just add a little coda at the end of this thread showing some of the pictures before that stupid wheaton guy went down...

Stopped in Hooterville Thursday to meet up with petey...he was at Smitty's having some things on his '06 checked out...

Schmidty's present ride..I think it's German made

Smitty went to the Catfish Kettle with us for our traditional pre-ride catfish dinner. :yahoo: yummm that was good. :clapping:

Petey and I left the next morning after having breakfast at the Huddle House letting some of the fog thin out. I think it was low 40s or high 30s...very "crisp" :)

Petey and I stopped at a reservoir in MO on the way down to AR...

The last good picture of my '04 precrash

Petey is a great guy to ride with...never pushes you, always pleasant...just an all around good guy...and oh yeah can ride the wheels off the FJR. The only reason he wasn't 2 miles ahead of me was because his suspension was pretty worn and holding him back. Here we are after a nice BBQ sandwich lunch a local BBQ place in southern MO...just before heading west on US160. US 160 rocks BTW :yahoo:

FJR central/home base in Mtn View... $55/night on weekends $40/night on weekdays. The owner has an old Vmax he is trying to keep in riding shape and was an all around great guy while we were there before and after my get off. Clean and cheap...I will go back there again if the Angler's is booked up.

Here is the gang just before heading into a great BBQ place on Friday night Jim(Scott's buddy), Steve(STL FJR), Scott(fjrider) and Peter(petey).

Last shot before next day's pavement surfing...

Downtown Mtn View at night which holds bluegrass music in the town square area on weekends...

...shoulda brought my fiddle...or not...it would be in pieces by now.

Had a great time on the trip...sorry I ruined the riding for my riding buddies on that day...

That's all...I will post in another thread the pictures of my new to me '04 (purchased from Sherman) that griff graciously loaded up in his truck and drove 100 miles to my place.
