The general layout by Roadglide sounds fine with me. i don't mind leaving before 10:00 but I don't want to go beyond around Greenville, so that means we'll also be stopping earlier. If that is allright with everybody, I'm game to leave whenever.
0800 too early?

I agree with not going beyond Greenville.

Per Map Quest:

My house in Neptune Beach to High Country Inn is 486 miles.

Neptune Beach to Greenville, SC is 400 miles. Even if we stop well before Greenville, Thursday should be a very easy day.

After riding to Orlando yesterday to pick up a Stem Mount (in the rain), I think I'm ready for the trip to Boone. I washed and waxed it, check the normal stuff, mounted my tail bag, added more tools and programmed Boone in to my GPS. Can Wed get here soon enough!!!! See you guys for a 9:00 departure.

Tank and tail bag ready to mount.

Frogg Toggs at the ready.

I am good to go, and looking forward to the trip.

See you all at 0900 Wednesday.

Bob

I'm ready too. Still dinking with my GPS mount and a vista cruise because my throttlemeister did not make it here in time.

I will confess in advance to still having my Harley rainsuit and not being ashamed to wearing it :D .

See everyone at 0900 on Wed!

Hopefully we won't need the rain suits. And as far as the Harley issue goes I also ride a 2004 Road Glide with lots of chrome and US NAVY billet decals. Who says you can't ride both. :D

It's looking like we might need the rain gear from the get go. 60% chance of rain for Wednesday. Of course, for you Marine and Navy types it should just add to the ambiance. :D

Man, you got us figured out pretty darn quick! :D
My weather report shows only a 30% chance of rain.

Well Marines are amphibious! As long as there is no lightning, I usually press on in the rain.

I think we might get wet early though, SAV is calling for morning rain. Columbia, SC is calling for morning rain and clearing before 1200. We are still riding so it will be a great day! See you tomorrow morning at CB.
