What happened to the Summer ? What happened to Riona, why hasn't she been posting for the last couple months ?

Well, I've been on the road - covered about 26,000 miles since June 23rd. Mostly by air, but I did slip in several thousand on the bikes also.

A brief summary:

End of June - leave Seattle => Cincinnati for a wedding and to visit friends

July 4th - Fly on to Waitsfield, Vermont for another wedding (this one I got Ordained for and officiated at - just call me Rev. !)

July 6th - back to Seattle in time to turn round and head up to the Canadian Rockies, calling in at Banff, Glacier Park, Revelstoke, Castlegar, ... didn't quite make it to Jasper as they were having an inch of rain that day

Back to Seattle, meet up with Tyler and the PNW crew at Auburn's, do a day trip up Mt Baker, do laundry !

July 23rd - Fly to England, visit family and friends, attend my Son's wedding (yay)

August 5th - fly home and get turned around to head off to camp for a week of spiritual retreat

August 19th - head to Portland for some minor out-patient surgery .. which went perfectly and I'm recuperating well, thanks for asking .. but I'm not allowed to ride for 3 weeks :-(

So I've been pretty much MIA the whole Summer. Looking forward to settling back into Seattle and getting my feet back on the ground.

Best wishes to all and hopefully see some of you at the Reuben Run next Month.

Welcome back, I was just going to text you to see if your back in town.

BTW I have something for you, it's for your smuggler project.

Sounds like you've been busy!

You didn't make it to Kamloops - I had to cancel the brass band.

And, it sounds like we crossed paths in the air. As you flew to the UK I was returning from my mum's 92nd.

I'm in your neck-of-the-woods as we speak. Came down for the Tacoma vintage bike show.

Cheers!

Al.

Hi Al - our paths do seem to criss-cross. I drove SAG for one of my other Motorcycle groups today - Up through Mt Rainier National Park to Paradise, then home via 123, 410, Dinner in Enumclaw and then the back way home - 18, Fall City and 202. One of our number pealed off to go to Tacoma for the show - we chose to ride (in my case drive) instead.

Marcus - missed you too - hook up some time soon ?

R.

Steve - See you for Reubens !
