The Ferry was a bonus location on the '07 Cape Fear Rally. It wasn't running the day I was there........got the points though. The dirt road I took to reach it, on the south bank, was ah, um interesting.

I wonder if thats the same ferry my son ran across a couple of weeks ago going back to Lejeune. It matches his description of it anyway. He was following a route that the Garmin had laid out for him and he said when he got down to the ferry there were two guys on board but they told him it was closed so he had to fall into retreat....something a Marine definitely isn't trained to do.
