Let me first say the Feejer handle like the great machine it is. I left 10/03 from Lake Mathews area of Riverside, CA hwy 15 to 74 east thru Borrego Springs to Mecca. I met up with three guys from work who rode to lake Mead with me. We connected with hwy 62 to 96 near Parker Dam, stayed in Boulder City for the night. Left Boulder City via the backside of Lake Mead then Hwy 169 to I-15 got off interstate in Cedar City, Utah. I parted ways with them and took hwy 14 thru Zion National Park to the 148 to the 89 to Richfield, Utah stayed the night. Then jumped on the superslab to make time and get over to Glenwood Springs, CO stayed the night. I took Independence Pass but turned around due to icy conditions it snowed the night before. I headed back down the Pass to hwy 133 towards Gunnison and took hwy 92 thru the Black Canyons of Gunnison to Hwy 50, then over to Hwy 550 and stayed the night in Ridgeway, CO. I did not have enough time to make it over the summits before dark. It would probably get icy at 8,000 feet and you have to deal with the elk and bear on the HWY. I was told I should not attempt to get over in the dark due to the cliff dropoffs and no guardrails. They say Hwy 550 from Ridgeway to Durango is one of the best scenic rides in the country. The next day I headed out on Hwy 550 for New Mexico to Hwy 25 then to Interstate 40. I had a quick burger and pushed on to Flagstaff,AZ stayed the night. I took I-40 to Hwy 89 thru Prescott, AZ to Hwy 71 to hwy 60 to Interstate 10. I took the superslab the rest of the way home trying to make up time. I had to return to work the next morning at 6:00 am. I must say if you get a chance to see this beatiful country we live in do it. I saw scenery and met wonderful people. I would have never experienced this in my life time if I never took time off for myself and just did it. Take time for yourself. Nice ride report.

Looks like that 89 goes for a long long time...lots of straightaways, okay how hard did ya pull back on that throttle crossing dessert country?

Thanks for sharing.

Excellent photos! We went thru there in June. Thanks!

Errr, BTW, there is a thing in English punctuation called a "period". It looks like this "." Real useful when trying to write clearly! :D
