It's been awhile so thought I should try to get a little more done on this. Chores aren't going away!
One thing I want to repeat is this ride is full of vista's, it's amazing how you can spend three hundred miles a day and just keep seeing so much.
We left Dease Lk and headed for Whitehorse Yukon.
Did I tell you that the road seems to go on forever?
Stopped by Jade City again and snooped around for awhile had a free coffee as Dease Lk had nothing and we traveled light with no cooking stuff.
They had lots of cool old junk or treasures..
I liked how they cleaned this old root ball and turned it into a table stand.
Bought my wife a little Jade Cross to go with the little Turtle I bought her last time George & I were here.
As we were mounting up we meet a couple of old dudes on on a lower V-Strom and the other on a spider. We talked a bit and when George started rolling his eyes we headed north again.
When we got to the Alaska Hwy it was time to fuel and have a bite to eat. I should have taken a picture of my lunch special, a half a sandwich and a cup of soup. Boy did I get ripped off, it was more like a quarter of a sandwich and tea cup of soup. Oh well went and bought myself a dognut to help tide me over.
Heading up the Alaskan Hwy now.
This shortly after leaving the Cassiar Hwy, kinda of felt like Big Sky country.
We hit a bit of road construction and as I was sitting behind a 18 wheeler I decided to go up to the front and as if we could pull up to the front so we didn't get pelted with rocks. They said yes so as I was going back to get George I stopped and told a couple of guys to move up with us.
It was nice being up front and not have to pass all of the slow traffic.
This ride is a bit different of a ride, not a lot of twisty's just the ride itself.
Can't remember if this is the bridge into Teslin or Johnson's Crossing!
Big ass river!
Started to sprinkle so the old point & shoot stayed in the tank bag the rest of the day. Next installment we'll head for Dawson City. I'll try to get back more often.
