Woooot Woooot. Can't wait! My buddie almost went into melt-down after tinkering with his ride(650Strom). Tweeking it a little and put a part in upsidedown which caused a no run situation. AAAHHHH!!! luckily he noticed the oops.Loading truck in the morning  .

Two more sleeps and the truck is loaded!

Thanks Painman. It was -20c as we were loading the bikes. brrrr. I'm going to try and post along the way. And yes you should kiss the California ground every morning!

Rob

I see shadows in that picture as well as blue sky.... That is something we don't see much this time of year.

But is pretty cold for us to get to -20 . We have a big lake just outside my door to moderate the temps.

I take it that was C and not F

Have a safe trip!

I dunno Rob... you're leaving just as spring is about to break here and you'll miss all the nice riding. Damn poor planning I say! :( Oh well try not to think of what you are missing and I'm sure you'll have a nice time anyway.

Have a great trip there Rob. :clapping:

Save some riding stamina for GNP this summer... okay?

...and BTW, I have taken a little kitty to a vet on my mcy when I was young....stuck 'im in my jacket with some sweatshirts on to absorb the kitty claws. Did not own a car at the time.

Thanks Tom,Mark, Pierre, and Scott. I'll try and enjoy myself.

Yes Tom it was -20c. Still damn cold C or F

Mark I think my pitbull would chew through my helmet if I put her on the bike.

Pierre please take some snapshots of your spring ride so we can compare at NAFO.

Scott a little patience. April is only a month away! I'll let everyone know you're coming.

Until next time

Ciao

Rob

Hey ...We're on the ground in Virgina.

We unloaded the bikes at Gate City Va. The temp. was 68F not a cloud in the sky! The trip down has been wonderful! Hardly any traffic at all.

We had to wash the bikes right away the salt was mighty thick.

We stopped at the New River Gorge Bridge .WOW. Took the trail to the bottom of the gorge. Really tight switch backs to get to the bottom.WOW!!> The road was very narrow. More like a footpath than a road.Wow!

Brian felt a little cramped on the trail. Cliff on one side and a rock cut on the other.Wow.

We rode almost 400 miles today from Gate city VA to Charleston SC. Not very exciting to ride the slab at 70mph for almost 7 hrs. But we were trying to stay ahead of the storm that's coming.

This is the USS Yorktown docked at Patriot Point near Charleston.

Improved the pic a little. Tomorrow we will visit the ship and take the tour if the weather is good. If not it's gonna be a beer day.

The ride down to the new river gorge is better on the bike....

I was kind of wondering about all that salt. I guess that is why I have a closed in trailer.

Great start..... keep them pics coming in. :yahoo:

Oh yea with all that stuff you are carrying.... try to keep the front wheel down close to the ground.

As we felt it was better to stay here and wait out the storm that hasn't arrived yet we took the time (6hours) to visit the USS Yorktown, the USS Laffey, and the coast Guard boat 35 and the sub Clamagore. WOW what the US sailer were prepared to do is just amazing !! I feel very humbled walking around the decks of these boats.

Instead of putting up lots of photos I thought I would just link all my pics to the site. Enjoy
