Well we made it to Thunder Bay, too far though for Diana, going to take one of our spare days and take it easy across to the Black hillsChris
That was a long day for sure, 900km from the Sault to Thunder Bay. Was it just the non-stop riding for Diana or was it something that affected her physically? Sore shoulders? Become one with the AirHawk?

Just a very long day, she is riding really well, loves the airhawk as well

Everyone ride safe we will see you soon

Chris

Steve, thanks for the recommendation to eat at Annies Kitchen in MD. We had dinner there tonight and are staying at the Comfort Inn in McHenry, MD tonight and headed down the 219 tomorrow.
I liked Annie's. Simple place but the food is great and not overly expensive. Just a few miles south is Deep Creek, a place I want to return to and do some exploring. Enjoy bud!
We actually spent the night in Deep Creek.

Just an update for those thinking about Beartooth Pass..... The weather this week has closed the Montana side of it.

Check before you head out.

We were in Red Lodge for lunch today and the lights were flashing just outside of town . The nice lady at the visitors center told us we could take 308 to Belfry and then 72 to 296 which is Cheif Josephs highway. Of course another nice lady told us that it rain all the way across the Cheif Joseph highway and her other comment was that it sure easy to see the buffalo with all that snow.

We decided to pass for another year. I'm sure it will be there again.

On another note Custers battlefield was very moving sight!

There is NOTHING better than hitting the open road on the first day of a long-planned motorbike trip! :yahoo:

A joyful thing.

Have a fantastic and safe journey.
I know that feeling, we also departed for CFR on the morning of the 6th as part of a 6 week coast to coast trip. Had all the routes planned down to WV,TN, KY and then north west towards WY and MT before heading north to Nakusp. But as it is with my luck my GPS crapped out on the start of day two and won't show any routes :angry2: so we have to pretty much wing it from here on. Good thing Charlie Hoss ave ne a small road atlas when he met us for dinner on sat night.
Kevin,

FWIW, when I was on the long ride to WFO6, the contacts on the Zumo and cradle got wet and the unit started acting crazy. I dried all the contacts and did the "hard reboot" procedure and everything came back to life. Not sure how or if you can do that on yours but it might be worth a try. Can you find the manual on the Garmin site? Mention the model here and someone will probably pipe up with the procedure.

Their smiling now.. kinda.. Lets compare this to the after pics in 8 weeks after riding all the way to Alaska and back.

They were still smiling when we left them in Jade City, BC.
