Ok, who's looking to split a room Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights. No reservations made yet

I am, although I may not need it on Thursday. My plan is to leave CT on Sunday ride the BRP on my way down, I will probably be in N.C. on Thursday to visit some friends. From there its about 135 miles to J.C. Tenn. which I can easily do on Friday, and still get there fairly early.

Al, if you're hoping to get to the hotel early enough to ride on Friday, you'll need to be there by or b4 8ish. Some folks head out around 9... but some @ 8am.

I guess I'm a little confused about the schedule? There will be a 'ride' on Friday? I thought that was the arrival day..So if thats the case I can bump my schedule up a day or 3 that way I can arrive on thursday, and then I would need the room for 3 days. (I just wish the itinerary was posted along with the hotel info, so I would'nt look stupid, oh well too late for me now, I feel like a *******) So yeah El Toro Joe if you need a room-mate I'll take you up on that offer...And generally speaking, I like to hang out with large groups, but I don't like to ride with large groups (I hope this does'nt offend anyone) I like exploring/getting lost alone, or with one or two people max. BTW This is my 1st EOM event if you had'nt noticed, so I don't know what to expect, except from what I've read here.

Honestly, this year's organizer hasn't said anything about Friday rides... but in the past there has been Friday rides. Guess that I should check b4 ASSuMING.

I already have a basic idea who I'll be riding with. So, don't worry about me following you out of the parking lot.

If someone is there, there will be a ride or two.

Things are pretty informal at EOMs. Just hang out in the parking lot until you see another FJR. It won't take long before a ride starts. I plan on showing up Thursday evening and riding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Like others have mentioned there will be quite a few people arriving on Thursday. There will be planned rides for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'm coming in Thursday and riding home Monday.

If this is the same as the last 3 EOM's that I've attended, there will be gps routes posted for about 5-10 different rides, which is more than most humans can do. Getting there early means that you can sample more of the routes, alone or with a group.

Getting back to the original topic of "Roomies for EOM"...I'm looking for a roomie. I plan to arrive in Richmond, VA, Tues evening, the 15th, to visit with my kids on Wed. Then I'll head out for EOM on Thurs morning, the 17th. I'll be needing a room at least thru Sat night and maybe even Sunday depending who's doing what and riding where.

A little shameless self promotion, I don't snore or smoke. No bad habits whatsoever. Or, at least, that's what I like to think.

Also, I'd be up for riding to JC from the Northern VA area with others on Thursday. It doesn't look that far, so I wouldn't mind taking some more scenic roads rather than slabbing it.
