I'm trying to get everything sorted out before I tear into the bike but to those who installed the rosta: When you fitted the servo box under the seat in the toolbox area, did you let it float above the surface of the box? Mount it so the control cable rests on the edge of the toolbox? or trim it down so the servo is flat on the floor of the toolbox and the cable runs under the tank?

right side of tool tray...servo pointed foward..cable along right side of tank by frame rail and looping back over cam cover alongside throttle cables. I used spiral clamps to fasten the servo cable to the throttle cable and fastened the end of the servo cable directly to the throttle tang with a 5/32" bolt and a home made clamp. the tang can be drilled with a long 5/32" bit [use a new one]..the throttle must be held almost open to raise the tang up where it can be drilled and it helps to loosen the nut holding the throttle cable and move it aside to get some room to work. not necessary to remove throttle bodies. forget the beaded chain junk-the rosta has over 2 inches of lost motion and it's cable should be pulled all the way out and fastened to the tang with almost no slack. I notched the tool tray to allow the rosta to sit flat in the tray..also had to use a relay for the brake wire [to much current in the wire] [[use the correct type relay]]

basically a major ass pain to get it sorted out but now the dmn thing works perfectly. I'm assuming you have the electronic version... [aka Global Cruise]..

Notching the box! Got it :) I'm going to figure things thung out! I'm assuming it runs underneath the bracket for the rear of the gas tank too?

I installed it at the far right side of the box facing left and turned the cable on the left side. I also used Dual-Lock to hold it in place, so the dual-lock sits where the bulge isn't, so no trimming required:

I also spend a lot of time trimming the wiring to better fit the bike.

Thanks for The pics. Apparently the Gen 2 underseat is different that the Gen 1 that I have. Mine has a bar across the back seat that makes it tough to fit the servo box.

I wuzz going to trim the wires too but decided I didn't like all the splices so I wound up folding the wires tightly and zip tying them and packed them in the tray next to the Rosta...

I finally got the servo box temporarily fitted to the tool tray. I had to notch the front of the tool tray all the way down to the bottom. The servo box still doesn't touch the floor of the tray but is wedged in tight between the cross bar and the front of the tool box. :) making progress already! Thurs I'm tearing into the bike removing the pair (permanently) and drilling the tang to attach the cable to. Hopefully mechanical stuff will all be done, then off to electrical.

I have the Gen 1 and installed the box with the control cable facing left, as above, and looped it under the left side of the tank. There is trimming required of the under-seat tray and the cover under the side panel. It's not hard.

Servo simply sits in the tool tray. It is so tight in there it will not move. Use Dual-Lock if you want to be extra sure.

I saw another guy who ran it the way you did. I didn't like the bend but if the way I have it doesn't fly I'm going with your way. Trial and error fitting this thing. I'm trying to avoid that sharp bend if I can.

I have 4000 miles on it now. The unit is fine with the bend. Cable moves very freely, and the unit operates smoothly, with no problems.

I'll give you all the dip switch settings when you are ready.
