route 66 sighting '07

Saw '07 just south of claremore OK on route 66 memorial Day any of ya'll.

I waved but from the yellow neon no bikers pay attention. I was haulin my sons volvo wheels up to get some tires. That is my excuse and I'm stickin to it.

OH!!! saw it again on 266 not 400 yards from where I saw it the last time. 5pm friday afternoon. Two of us in claremore with '07 FJRs and only one of us on the internet.

i talked to a guy a couple months back near Siloam Springs. He lives in Gentry AR and commutes to Tulsa ! He works for American Airlines.

Talked to gal in Locust Grove today. She was riding an 06 FJR. The rest her group were riding BMW's and Ducks. I told her she needs to stop hanging out with Euro-Trash ! Just kidding, I didn't really say that.

We should do a Sat morn breakfast Like.... Brookside By Day (BBD) and then hit Kenwood road and scenic 10 For a morning wingding. Except I rode Kenwood road yesterday and it was freekin scary after all the rain washed chunky gravel into every turn.

where is kenwood road? i did the tulsa- spavinaw-locust grove -jay-tahlaqua- tuls route yesterday. 10 was nice along the Illinois river. about 3-5 deg cooler plus shade.

i wold be up for breakfast / ride deal.

Kenwwood road. if you go 20 to pryor through salina and just keep going east. Do not turn at the stop sign at the end of Salina. Straight..... it turns into kenwood road. Speed limit is only 45 but I have never seen any LEO back there. then Again if I do I'll go to jail I am sure. Paved narrow and twisted all the way to 10. then you turn south and can do the whole Illinois river bit.

We must have nearly missed yesterday. I went Kenwood to 10 down to talequah out through westville up to rogers back on 102 through Jay and Adair and home. near 300 miles. I do something like that everyweekend. sometimes twice.

Usually some loop through Eureka Springs. 123 south. I like AR 16 to AR 7 then north to Jasper and back to Eureka. then home. But that is a full full day of riding.

We'll have to try a breakfast plan sometime. I like the idea of meetin in brookside to give all the Harley riders a show of how it outa be.!

Hit 10 after that to Jay then 90 to Washburn, 86 to Table Rock, Eureka Springs, 23 to 16 to 412 back to Sand Springs. Got rained on around Huntsville, actually felt good.

Man I love those routes 90 to washburn... I used to drive it inthe car when I was bikeless and dream about the day when I would have a bike again. What did you think of Kenwood road. It is just a non flat pass through to 10 .... So you did have a good ride regardless.... :yahoo: I'd a gone but I was stuck at home selling my connie to a guy who came up from dallas and drove her home.
