route advice/suggestions... VA I-65, VA-360

This will be a SS1k on a saturday.

Will be heading up 81 from TN to Staunton VA, ( should be there around 9:30am)

Then getting on 64 over towards Richmond.

Once in Richmond will take 295 around to 360

Then taking 360 up to Reedville.

Was thinking of eating late lunch at the Crazy Crab ( unless a better suggestion is made).

At this point it is either: Turn around and come back the same route

-or-

head south on 3, across 33, through westpoint and back to 64, then west to 81, then south back to home.

I've never been in this area, so have questions...

any major construction?

I was told 33 near westpointe there is some construction.

Is VA360 a 2 lane or 4 lane hwy?

Would be eating dinner in staunton, any recomendations in this general area, or between Richmond and Staunton??

I've done a Poker run to Reedville - as I recall, 360 from Tappahannock to Reedville is mostly a 2 lane road and not too bad on traffic considering. If the Crab Shack is the restaurant at the end of Reedville on the left (waters edge) then it's a good place to eat.

I'm not familiar with the Rt 3 across 33 route so can't give you any comments. Sorry about that.

For dinner in Staunton I recommend the Mill Street Grill, Lorie and I have eaten there a couple of times and they have pretty good BBQ ribs. Here's a link for Staunton restaurants: https://www.discoverourtown.com/VA/Staunton/Dining-277.html

Was hoping to hear that 360 wasn't to bad =-)

And the Crab place is supposed to be on the watersedge, so probably is hte same place, so that is good to hear that it is edible =)

Will check out the Mill street place on the way back.
