Anyone ever heard of them. I was offered a two-year warranty on my used bike through RPM One. It cost $650. I bought the warranty since I have 30 days to cancel and get a full refund. I have two weeks left to cancel. Looking for input to see if anyone has every used RPM One for any warranty work and what their experiences are. I bought a 2008 FJR1300 AE with 18k miles on it. Is the warranty even worth it at $650?

Maybe this is a Question for the shop that would be dong the work.

To me aftermarket warranties are like shooting craps, sometimes you win most times you lose.

IS this a two year Warranty, or two year maintenance package? If the latter it is a good deal if you do a lot of riding. If it's just a two year warranty that covers items like the drive train, then that is a lot of insurance for the first two years of a bike. The chance of a major mechanical failure in the first two years is very slim.

IMO only.........these bikes are so reliable you might be better off banking that dough for the valve check at 26K miles give or take a few thousand............lots of guys on here with loads of miles and just oil and tires for maint.......I have 42K on my 05 and nothing but routine stuff..............if you're going to pile on 25,000 a year then it might work out differently............

In either case the local shop that pitches it won't be there if you need it when on a trip out of town. That's why I stick with OEM extended warranties when I get one. YES through D&H Cycles is nearly half that price for a 48 month one that all Yamaha dealerships will honor.

The YES Warranty is the only one I would bother with, period. It is a Yamaha warranty not a third party. You have a problem on the road the YES will serve you better and it was much cheaper.

And to those who say why bother, well one trip even as reliable as these bikes are, will pay for the YES warranty.

And on the road that piece of mind is priceless!
