Already low 90's...You don't want to mess up out here. It's a long way to anyplace.

Grainy short of the highest priced fuel station I'd seen this whole trip..

I take it you were'nt leading, or you drank a little too much the night before. ;)

Pics were good though.

Nice,Bust. I think I remember some of those places.

Jeeze dude...You drink a LOT. Word is you ride like an old lady too. I guess the drinking could explain the riding. So..

That first picture was the stop in Lee Vining. Was right outside Nicely's where we waited for OM only to find out he was right around the corner In the shade.

Second pic is outside the County Seat in Quincy. Right before SacMike and I got separated from the group. Too bad I ride like an old lady too. If I had just ridden a little slower I wouldn't have caught you gurls.

Pine cone pic is from the parking area at Subway Cave. Right after you violated Bugnater down in that dark cave in the section dubbed Lucifer's Culdesac. Sam thought it was funny when I renamed it "Lucifers Sack."--A little louder than I should have. Oops.

Anyway those pine cones were huge...prolly around 1.5lbs, and they came from way up high. I remember them so well because we talked about how one would kill a person if they fell and hit them in the head. Remember??? We tried to get Don to stand under that tree. Haha...

Hurry up with the others.

You know, two of the pleasures of the weekend were meeting Zilla and Bust. First, to blow his cover, Barry is a hell of a nice guy -- probably why he does so well with the sheep. And AJ, for all your articulate posts, it's hard to believe you'd say anything off color or louder than you should have. A regular pair of shrinking violets, you two. If Ray does as he's threatened, we'll have to do it again. Next time, I'll make sure to catch a lot more of the ride circus.

Put a cok in it AJ..

to continue then.

There were a lot of wild Burros/Jackasses in the Beatty area I caught this one rifling through a sidecase

Yoda was too busy to attend. Something aboot a ghey pride march in the windy city.

Mark and Duke chilling. We met Doug and Steve? here.. They were supposed to be on the corner waiting, they weren't and me in one of my out of driving like an old lady character.

Honked on the gas to pass a slower vehicle only to see Doug and company sitting roadside watching me fly past.

RTE056_zps5ebbd65b.jpg

Lucy taking a break in La Pine.. I was nice to the old girl as I was just "renting" her. Or maybe I was just chickenshit and didn't know how to ride.

RTE136_zpsdf14b9c2.jpg

Plenty of old friends gathering to chat before chow was served.

RTE129_zpscebcaae2.jpg

Sac Mike explaining to a mexican why they "ain't allowed in these parts" We felt sorry for the smelly fuker and let him eat anyway. ;)

Doug showing a bit of leg.. The dudes legs make mine look dark. I hope the deer incident didn't damage those sexy gams. Love ya man.

The reason for the gathering

Completely worth the trip. Best Reuben I've ever had an can't wait to have another!

Some work was done under Joe's watchful eyes.. Dude was in a whole lotta pain with that busted up foot, but by golly he was a trooper and kicked butt when he had to. Gotta love this guy too.

RTE151_zps5d16cb23.jpg

Yes I fell in love.. You got a problem with that? :glare:

RTE157_zpse9ef362a.jpg

One of the many critters having a nap..

RTE165_zps60435f58.jpg
....

Thoughts..

Just under 2600 miles for a sandwich.. Was it worth it? Yes I'd do it again tomorrow.

The Reuben was outstanding and the peeps were equally great.

Good to put names, faces, and personality's together.

The food at Rays was damned good as was Ray and his Family. Thanks big fella for putting this together. I can't say enough about the whole deal Ray.

Favorite road? Easily 120 into Lee Vining. Doug said before we hit it we'd be laughing or ***** off or taking it easy.

I was one of the former.. The section of whoops at 65 plus was a rip roaring hoot!!!! I wanted to turn around and do it again and again!

Doug, yer a lucky bastage to be able to play on that road whenever you want.

Places? I might piss a few off but Vegas was the biggest turn off of this trip. It's a **** hole to me what with the crowds, noise, and just ....... nothing. I will probably never go back as I holds no appeal to me.

People?

All of you, but especially beemerdons for making the whole adventure possible. Dude, not only did you carry my *** the whole way.. You trusted me with your girl Lucy Lue.

I ran a bit wide on a curve the first day while finding her limits and respected that the whole way. I know at times I may have fallen behind but It was a borrowed bike and no feking way was I going to wad her up.

To those of you I told I was going to move out that way? Today was spent perusing the online wanted add's out there. I'm serious about getting da fook outa here.

Anyway, I had an awesome time god and the economy willing., I'll be back next year. Or maybe sooner.

Thanks again Ray!! It was fukin awesome!

Barry, I really enjoyed meeting you after reading your humorous posts since joining the forum. I wish you would have had time to see some of the great scenery in westerm Oregon and Washington, but if you move to the west there will be many opportunities for those adventures. Don refers to those areas as the great northwet.

Jer

Barry, I'm thinking you'll end up moving to Lee Vining so you can run Hwy 120 as part of your daily commute to Vegas! :p Good to meet you, AJ, George, Whatshisname, whatshisface and all the others that I'd had the pleasure of meeting previously. Good times!

Great report Bust! The love between you and AJ had me rolling, never seen it quite like that

The whole RTE was just a blast and no doubt Ray is a Prince!

I still have the KTM so when you get out here we can make 120 an annual event. :D

Thanks for sharing the pics and adventure with us Barry. Fun to see the trip report through your eyes...

Thanks again to Ray for organizing the gathering. Yearly event?!?

It was great seeing old friends and making new ones! Until next time. :clapping:
